TheHop: MOVE Estrella Galicia’s Digital Innovation Programme Makes the Leap to Web3
The fourth edition of TheHop comes to a close this year, ending a cycle of four editions in which more than 35 pilot projects were undertaken in Spain and Brazil. The fourth edition included different leading startups and companies such as MIT, IE, Amazon, and more. In its fifth edition, TheHop will focus on WEB 3, searching the entrepreneur ecosystem for use cases related to Metaverse, tokenization of assets, cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and DAOs.
TheHop Web3 Ventures
TheHop will change its name to TheHop Web3 Ventures, placing focus on use cases related to the tokenization of assets, cryptocurrency, NFTs, Metaverse, and DAOs. TheHop Web3 Ventures begins this new program with three main collaborators: Telefónica Tech, Bit2me, and AWS, with which it will begin its first projects. TheHop will also have the full support of VALHALLA as Innovation Partner.
Program Evolution
TheHop has evolved every year, initially focusing on key areas of the Estrella Galicia group and, since 2020, with the main focus on the use of digital solutions that bring value to hospitality and the end consumer, obtaining multiple insights of value and promoting different initiatives. The evolution of TheHop has been unstoppable, adapting to the needs and opportunities of the company and the market. For this reason, TheHop is now going a step further to become TheHop Web3 Ventures, the vehicle for Web3 innovation of MOVE Estrella Galicia Digital through which the company will approach this new ecosystem.
The Move to Web3
Over the last few years, Web3 has experienced a huge growth in global adoption, and many companies are starting to position themselves in this new territory, from major technology companies to automotive companies and restaurant chains.

HTC Vive and Imversed Partner to Bring VR/AR Land to Larger Audience
As HTC Vive continues to commit its efforts to new and innovative technologies, the company has announced its plans to team up with Imversed. Imversed is an easy-to-use VR/AR land management platform that gives users the capability to create their own GameFi currency. This currency can be used to purchase virtual real estate, 3D assets, and experiences within the Imversed metaverse.
The partnership between HTC Vive and Imversed will help to bring VR/AR technology and metaverse to a larger audience. The companies will work together to provide a no-code platform that allows users to easily create and manage their own virtual currency pool. In addition, they will also be able to manage their digital assets, in-game items and experiences with ease, compatible with multiple metaverse platforms.

To make the platform work, Imversed also has its own blockchain that supports ERC-721 hybrid smart contracts, which is perfectly transferable with the Ethereum chain and has an extra layer of security implemented by Imversed chain itself. This allows for a high degree of security and immutability, as well as the ability to trade in-game assets with other players. The partnership between HTC Vive and Imversed will no doubt help spur on further adoption of blockchain technology in the gaming industry.
Imversed plans to launch its public chain in mid-November and will offer the first sales of its land in December. Imversed also plans to release an avatar uploader that will allow users to easily upload any form of avatar, whether in GLP or VRM format. The avatar dimensions will be standardized so that they fit within the land sizes available in the Imversed metaverse. This will ensure that users have a smooth and seamless experience when navigating between virtual worlds.
Imversed believes that the definition of a metaverse is the word "meta," which means to encompass all things and be a very open-minded company. Imversed is committed to making the metaverse easily accessible to anyone from any platform, including those from other metaverse projects.
