Mom game strong! Nikki Bella wants to make sure self-care is a part of her routine so that she can be the best mom for her new baby.
“My goals for year one is to focus on being the best mom that I can be, putting my son first whether it’s ‘How can I keep breastfeeding and is that the best for him?’” Nikki explained. “Learn about vaccines, schools, what helps him grow, what keeps him safe? Like I am going to make that such a focus in my life.”
She added: “I’m also gonna make sure though, at the same time, that I’m making ‘me time,’ even in the beginning, so I know that I stay a happy, healthy mom. Like, I have goals for wanting to get my body back in a very healthy way and keeping meditation and just like I’ve been doing with him right now in the womb. We keep going with that.”
Brie, for her part, said that the pandemic made her realize she should prioritize what fulfills herself and her family.
“I’m always that person who’s like ‘Well in five years…’” she said. “Well guess what? I’m almost 37 years old so when is the five years? So I’m ready to stop saying ‘Well in five years’ and start saying ‘Within this year, this is what I’m gonna do. I’m not waiting till the five year mark anymore.’”
Nikki opened up about the pressure she feels to get back into shape after giving birth on the July 22 episode of her podcast.
“I’m like, ‘OK so do I have to wait to the eight-week mark to start, like, working out hardcore or do you think I could push it to six weeks?’” the former Dancing With the Stars contestant said. “Because someone had asked me, ‘How quick do you think you’ll get your body back? I bet you’ll get it quick.’ And I already started to say in my head like, ‘OK, January 2021, Nicole you better have your abs back, you better be this weight, you better be in this shape.’”
“7/31/2020,” Nikki wrote via Instagram about the arrival of her first child with her fiancé, Artem Chigvintsev. “Our baby boy is here and we couldn’t be HAPPIER and more in LOVE! Everyone is safe and healthy.”
Brie also shared a photo of her infant, whom she shares with her husband, Daniel Bryan. The couple are also the parents of 3-year-old daughter, Birdie.
“It’s a BOY!!! 8-1-2020,” she wrote. “We are overwhelmed with joy and everyone is healthy!!!”
The twins made a joint announcement in January that they were expecting babies due less than two weeks apart.
