Alex Nimely and Cătălin Carp sign two-year deals with Viitorul
FC Viitorul added striker Alex Nimely and central defender Cătălin Carp to its squad, with both players signing two-year contracts.
Nimely, 25, arrived after a spell at ACS Poli Timișoara, where the club credited him with three goals in 10 appearances from February 2016. His earlier career included Manchester City and loan spells with Middlesbrough, Coventry City and Crystal Palace. He had also represented England at under-20 level.
Carp, 22, was a Moldova international. He had spent the preceding two Liga I seasons with CFR Cluj and Steaua București. His arrival strengthened the central-defensive options alongside the addition in attack.
