Simona Halep discusses Ianis Hagi’s debut with Academia Hagi TV
Simona Halep appeared in an Academia Hagi TV interview covering Ianis Hagi’s first-team debut and her own plans for the future. The academy published the item on December 18, 2014.
Ianis had made his Liga I debut for FC Viitorul against Botoșani on December 5. The step into senior football was a prominent moment for the academy and for the son of its founder, Gheorghe Hagi.
Halep was coming off a season that included her first Roland-Garros singles final, where she faced Maria Sharapova. Her appearance brought a leading Romanian tennis player into the academy’s coverage of a young footballer’s progress.
