Ianis Hagi speaks to reporters after his Liga I debut
Ianis Hagi answered journalists’ questions after making his first appearance in Romania’s top division. Academia Hagi published the mixed-zone item on December 6, a day after his senior league debut against Botoșani.
The appearance came for FC Viitorul on December 5, 2014, with his father Gheorghe Hagi in charge of the team. At 16, Ianis was taking his first step from the academy into senior league football.
The debut attracted attention because of the Hagi name, but it also marked a concrete change in his development: a youth player had reached the club’s first-team competition.
