Hagi, Popescu and Rotariu join Viitorul staff for an Antalya exhibition match
Gheorghe Hagi, Gheorghe Popescu and Iosif Rotariu took part in an exhibition match in Antalya on Monday morning. A side made up largely of FC Viitorul staff faced a local team and won 4–3.
Ciprian Mihai scored twice for the Romanian side, with Costin Mega and Rotariu adding the other goals. Ștefan Preda played in goal, while Cristian Sava and Niyazi Yurtsever also joined the team.
The friendly brought former Romania internationals back onto the pitch together during Viitorul’s stay in Turkey. The club’s February 1, 2016 account focused on the familiar touch and technique of Hagi, Popescu and Rotariu.
