Earlier today, Drake released his brand new song titled ‘Greece,’ causing fans to speculate that in the lyrics, the rapper is making reference to the mother of his son, Adonis, Sophie Brussaux. Does that mean that the co-parents are back together again or not?
In his newest release, which is also a collab with DJ Khaled, Drake raps: ‘Speedboats, baby, in Nikki Beach,’ a line that caused a lot of fans to speculate was referring to his baby mama, Sophie Brussaux, with whom he shares his adorable son, Adonis Graham.
They believe that the lyrics are a nod to Nikki Beach Worldwide — a luxury beach club brand that has locations all over the world, Greece included, of course.
This brand of clubs is actually Sophie’s favorite and that is the main reason social media users theorized that Drake was actually shouting out his baby mama in the song.
But does that mean they’re back together?
One insider tells HollywoodLife that Drake truly treats Sophie with nothing but love but that’s not to say they are actually romantically involved at this time.
‘His relationship with her is amazing but they’re strictly co-parents. Drake‘s so happy that she’s moved to Toronto with Adonis because he loves having his son close by. His family has gotten to be very close with Adonis and with Sophie too. Drake does everything to give his son the best life possible and that includes treating his son’s mother with nothing but love and respect,’ they dished via the news outlet.
Their son was born in 2017 but Drake chose to keep his fatherhood a secret until earlier this year!
That being said, he shared some super cute pics of Adonis and later told Lil Wayne on his talkback show that ‘I posted those pictures. It was great for me to just share that with the world and just felt like … It was not even anything I talked to anyone about or anything I planned.’
