Anthony Mackie defends fellow MCU star Jonathan Majors

Jonathan Majors is currently awaiting trial as his future within the MCU will likely hinge on the verdict.

Following his March arrest for domestic assault, Jonathan Majors suffered a damaging falling out within the industry. Now, a fellow MCU star is coming to the defense of Jonathan Majors, saying there is “nothing” that has proven him guilty.

Anthony Mackie, who entered the MCU as Sam Wilson / Falcon with 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier and will take over the shield in next year’s Brave New World, is actively standing up for Jonathan Majors. “We’re a country that was built on ‘everyone is innocent until proven guilty…That’s one of the staples of this country. Nothing has been proven about this dude. Nothing. So everyone is innocent until proven guilty. That’s all I can say. It’s crazy where we are as a society. But as a country, everyone is innocent until proven guilty.”

And as he awaits an August trial, Jonathan Majors is himself fighting back harder than Diamond Dame, filing his own complaint of domestic violence against his accuser, Grace Jabbari. As per Insider, Majors is “alleging that a ‘drunk and hysterical’ Jabbari scratched, slapped, and grabbed at his face, causing pain and bleeding,” which would contradict the claims against the MCU actor.

While nothing has been proven to be true regarding the allegations against Jonathan Majors, his future within the MCU has been a hot topic for fans. Kang the Conqueror has been positioned to replace Thanos as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s biggest threat, first appearing in this year’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, released one month before his arrest. At the end of Quantumania, the return of Kang – well, Kangs – was promised. And while the character will continue to be a presence – Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is set for a 2026 release – the question is, will Majors be in the role going forward?

Jonathan Majors was on a serious roll prior to his March arrest, not only proving a powerful figure in the MCU, but earning acclaim in Creed III and the Sundance hit Magazine Dreams.

If proven not guilty, do you think Jonathan Majors can rebound fully within the industry? Give us your predictions in the comments section below.
